Mark Cuban Helps Delonte West

The one time Saint Joseph’s University star has fallen on hard time since being an NBA regular, with bizarre photos and videos surfacing on social media in recent months.

Despite only playing for the Mavericks for one season, and then getting kicked off the team, owner Mark Cuban has taken it upon himself to help West. Former backcourt running mate Jameer Nelson has made a public plea offering help to West, as has Doc Rivers and the NBAPA. For whatever reason Cuban was able to get through to him and has reportedly reunited him with his mother, and West has checked into rehab.

First, credit to Cuban for his detective skills and his willingness to help Delonte West. Second, we’d like to highlight that there is always someone out there who will help. If someone is struggling and you know it reach out, and if you are struggling don’t be afraid to reach out to someone.

The memories that many Philadelphia college basketball fans have of Delonte West are strong. The St. Joe’s undefeated regular season and run to the Elite 8 in 2004 is one of the most exciting times to have ever been a basketball fan in and around the city. Last Out Media is rooting for West once again, in an even tougher fight.
