Al Horford is officially no longer a 76er

The team announced today, that it is now official they are sending Al Horford, a 2025 protected first-round pick, drafts rights to Thoe Maedon, and the rights to Vasilije Micic to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Danny Green, Terrance Furguson, and Vincent Poirier.

Horford spent one disappointing season with the 76ers, and new President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey and his team were quick to pivot from Horford and his 109 million dollar contract, and at the same time bring in Danny Green, who is a Championship winning veteran who can shoot and play defense. Whether Furguson or Poirier make the 15 man roster is still yet to be known.

According to Derek Bodner of The Athletic, the 76ers will take Poirier into the trade exception that was created by the Josh Richardson trade, and will create an $8.2m TPE.
