COVID-19 Has Hit the Sixers

Many games in this season of the NBA will be threatened with the possibility of being postponed thanks to COVID-19. The latest game to be possibly postponed is the 76ers vs Denver Nuggets on January 9th. With a dropped game against the Brooklyn Nets, the Sixers and many Philadelphia fans looked on to the next game in the team’s schedule against the Nuggets for a chance to bounce back. However, this game could most likely be suspended due to many Sixers players being listed as questionable after coming into contact with Seth Curry who was recently diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. These players include Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Danny Green, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle, Vincent Poirier, and two-way player Paul Reed. Seth Curry, Furkan Korkmaz, Terrance Ferguson, and Mike Scott are all listed as out for Saturday’s game. With all these players listed at questionable, the probability of this game being cancelled becomes higher and higher the closer we get to game time as the Sixers need 8 players in uniform. As of writing this, the Sixers have 6 players available for the game so 2 more would be needed to play the game.
