Seth Curry Tests Positive for Covid

Seth Curry, who sat out last night’s loss to Brooklyn due to ankle soreness, has tested positive for Covid-19 according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Curry was on the bench for the first quarter but left to isolate when he was informed of the positive test. While on the bench Curry was wearing a mask but sat near Joel Embiid and assistant coach Sam Cassell.

The team stayed overnight in New York and will follow health and safety protocols and perform contact tracing as per NBA guidelines. According to ESPN, Joel Embiid has decided to self-quarantine until he is comfortable enough to know he doesn’t have the virus. Embiid has a 3-month-old son at home.

Embiid, who has a 3-month-old son, told ESPN he plans to self-quarantine from his family until he is satisfied he didn’t contract the virus.

The team’s next game is at home on Saturday January 9, versus The Denver Nuggets.
