The roller coaster tenure of Doug Pederson as the Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach is now over according to reports from ESPN’s Dan Graziano. In a stunning move. Philadelphia moved on from their Super Bowl winning coach after 5 seasons. The move comes after a season where the Eagles finished 4-11-1 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
A Move Many Saw Coming.
Pederson’s play calling and decision making were called into question all season. His offense struggled to score at league average and his relationship with star quarterback Carson Wentz had become tattered. Changes had to be made after a horrendous ending to the season. It comes as no surprise that Pederson was dismissed as his safety had dwindled in the past few days. He leaves Philly with 3 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl but a 42-37-1 win loss record.
