The Philadelphia Eagles’ exhaustive head coaching search is now over. In what many might call a shocking turn of events, Philly has hired former Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni. Until today Philadelphia was one of only two teams left who hadn’t filled their vacancy.
What Are We Getting
With Siranni comes an innovative offensive mind that coach under the tutelage of former Eagles coordinator Frank Reich. He is adept to tailoring offenses to a quarterbacks strengths which could come in handy if the Eagles decide to go with Carson Wentz long term. Last season with Philip Rivers he was able to put together one of the leagues most formidable passing attacks.
While not what most fans had hoped for, the new hire has promise. It’s a fresh set of eyes that could really help a franchise that has taken a turn for the worse after winning a title just seasons ago.
